Watch Our Special Event on Africa’s Human-Wildlife Crisis

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

On 4th May 2021, the EPI Foundation hosted a screening of ‘Living on the Edge’ by Black Bean Productions, followed by a discussion on human-elephant conflict. ‘Living On The Edge’ is a new 25 minute film looking at human-wildlife conflict in Tanzania and Kenya, made with the support of the Grumeti Fund.

We’re sorry that for rights reasons, we're not able to include the film in our recording of the event, but we’re pleased to bring you the subsequent discussion, which includes key contributions from ministers from Kenya and Gabon, and experts from the EPI Foundation.

Moderated by Dr Winnie Kiiru, EPI Foundation Director of Government Relations

Guests of Honour and Keynote Speakers; Hon. Najib Balala, E.G.H., Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya, and Prof. Lee White CBE, Minister of Forests, Oceans, Environment and Climate Change, Gabon Introduced by John Scanlon AO, with others speakers from the EPI Foundation – Greta Iori and Grant Burden

We hope you enjoy watching an important debate on one of the most urgent conservation issues in Africa today.
